5 Ways to Make Manicure Last 5 Ways To Make Your Manicure LastSIMPLE TECHNIQUE: 5 WAYS TO MAKE YOUR MANICURE LAST Good Housekeeping has put together a nice little video with tips to help your manicure last longer. And you get a bonus video helping you choose a pillow! What that has to do with nails? I’ll never know…except that my pillow puts nice little fabric indentions in my manicure if my polish hasn’t completely dried! The most important tip is #5 — oil your nails and cuticles daily! CND Solar Oil is the best oil available, until I have my nail oil available for sale in the next few months  :D  The oil you choose MUST contain JOJOBA OIL, or else it can’t penetrate the nail surface. (Every nail oil on the market contains the fabulous oil from almonds—which I just happen to be allergic to—hence, the creation of my own oil with the wonderful scent of Vanilla Lemon…mmmmmmm!) If the nail oil you find has Jojoba, it will penetrate your nail plate as well as nail lacquer…yep, I said nail lacquer—or polish—or shinies…. The polish will absorb the oil and stay flexible. Rub the oil into your cuticles which stimulates growth, since you’re increasing blood flow where your nail plate grows. Have fun! ~Ana

Nice thank you! I never thought about putting the oil on top of my polish as well! Hopefully this will finally keep my manicure for at least most of the week!

You’re welcome! Be sure to check out my post on why nails peel and split also. It will also explain why nail polish chips off…too much water. http://www.simplenailarttips.com/natural-nail-care/why-do-nails-peel-and-split
