SIMPLE TUTORIAL: SMOKY MARBLED NAIL ART
This is a great “on-nail marbling” technique done by Linda of Copy That, Copy Cat. This design can be done with any color combination. Linda also did a video which is very helpful (located below). If you try it, be sure to post pictures! Have Fun! ~Ana
STEP 1: Basecoat – to protect your nails and create a surface that nail polish bonds to
STEP 2: 1 coat of your favorite light toned polish.
STEP 3: Paint 2nd coat fairly quick and a bit thick.
STEP 4: With brush full of a dark color, drip and gently smoosh the color on the tip of the nail.
STEP 5: With any pointed tool (toothpick, needle, dotting tool) drag the dark color in wavy lines into the light color. Be sure to wipe tool after each stroke.STEP 6: Reverse – drag the light color into the dark.
STEP 7: Touch up free edge with dark polish. Give the polish a few minutes to set.
STEP 8: Topcoat – To seal in your design and give it a high gloss shine. Remember to topcoat the free edge and underside. This extends wear and reduces water absorption, which causes peeling and chipping
